Heading for the Mainland

July the 4th is here, I have 2 months off from work and its time to go on holidays.

We left home at 4.30pm to head to the ferry terminal, filled up with fuel, arrived for check in at 5.30pm. Ten minutes we are through check in and then we waited for over an hour before it was our turn to board.

All the trucks and trailers load on Level 3. Most caravans over 2.1m high load on Deck 3. Having a 5th wheeler I loaded on Deck 3 with a few other caravans. Low caravans and cars enter via either of these decks and load onto other decks via ramps. I was one of last to load but one of the first to disembark in Melbourne.

Deck 3 on the bottom level, Deck 5 top level and all others load up or down from either
