We woke up with overcast skies which meant no frost. On the road around 10.00am, we went into Tocumwal to check out the Big Murray Cod.
A quick walk around town and along the flood levy bank and we were on our way.
Heading up the Newell Hwy at a leisurely pace, the traffic was good. We stopped at Jerilderie and came across the largest windmill I have ever seen.

We stopped for lunch in a park behind the Narrandera Information Centre just after 1.00pm and stretched the legs with a short walk. On the road again and we made our way to Ardlethan and set up camp for the night at a lovely free camp beside a grain silo and the rail line. Powered at $2.00 for 12 hours was great value. We stocked up with a few supplies to repay the favour. Ardlethan is also home of the Kelpie
