Rockhampton Day 2

Taking it easy was again on the cards today. We were only 10 minutes away from the Rockhampton Heritage Village, a laid back look on yesteryear. 1900 – 1950 was the era that the village has been set on and several buildings have been relocated here, horse drawn wagons, several vintage cars and a little bit of everything is here. We spent three hours here, but this could be extended if you was a real historian.

There is a reminder of the polio epedemic of the 1960’s with an Iron Lung in the relocated nuses quaters. It serves as a reminder to vaccinate your children.
