Tamborine Mountains

A trip around the Tamborine Mountains to check out some of the Gold Coast Hinterland filled in most of the day.

The first stop was Curtis  Waterfall walk. An easy 600m walk with just a few steps led us to a small waterfall. It was just long enough to get the blood circulating.

Our next stop was the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk. With an entry fee of almost $20.00, it was a little expensive, but the cost of building and maintaining the infrastructure certainly justifies the price. A great walk in and amongst the treetops and around the forest floors with lots of informative sign boards filled in another hour and a half.

A late lunch and a quick look around town filled in the rest of the day. While the day was fine and hardly a cloud in the sky, the gentle breeze had a little chill in it and gave us a taste of what was on offer as we start to make our way back to Melbourne to catch one of the Spirits of Tasmania back to Tassie. We will be keeping an eye on the weather forecasts as we hope to travel through Sydney on Sunday (or maybe we should head north to Cairns.)
