(Old Timers Disease) The Weekend is Full of Seniors Moments

As we pack up after a thoroughly great weekend even if we had a bit a drizzle Saturday night and some good rain overnight, we must reflect on our little indiscretions for the weekend, no one was immune, no serious damage was done except to our pride.

First off the rank was Athol, firstly he slipped off his levelling ramps, then he proceeded to drive off with his hitch unlocked and he dropped his hitch onto the tray of his ute.

Next to have a seniors moment was Peter, who after told he was parked in the wrong spot decided to move but forgot to see the garbage bins in front of his Navara ute. Tiny scratch to the front bumper bar and a dented garbage bin and broken stand the evidence for his indiscretion. A few choice words and a clanging of garbage tin lids by the caretaker the next morning was an added bit of entertainment for anyone who was in ear shot.

I was next to create a little entertainment when I emptied the last night ashes around and old stump from the old beer barrel. 10+ hours is not enough time for all embers to be completely out. A bit of smoke and a few excited campers kept us on our toes until a couple of well placed buckets of water and a thorough doucing with a hose let us get back to relaxing.

Last to offend on the weekend was Phil. He repostioned my firepot and didn’t put the 2 base plates  that are made to stop the grass from being burnt back together properly while I was away at a birthday party. The fire hadn’t being going long and a quick rearrangement stopped the roots from being destroyed but not before the grass was scorched, but we do have photographic evidence of his little indiscretion

All in all no major damage was done, just a slight dent to our pride.
