Leaving the Crocodile Wheelers after a great weekend, we only had a short drive of 107km to the Cobb & Co Nine Mile Campground at Tandur just out of Gympie. Fifty sprawling acres of camping gound with a spot for everyone, shade from many trees, open areas away from trees if you need solar. As it was school holidays in Queensland, there were lots of kids, but as there was lots of room, noise was not a problem.
A quick trip back to Gympie without the van filled in the day. We actually drove past where Crossroad Cruiser 5th wheelers were sold and whom we bought our van from. They are no longer selling 5th wheelers when the last two in stock are sold.
There was also a D’Angelo 5th wheel hitch for a flat tray to keep your hitch points low
Our second day at the Cobb & Co park started with some more rain but it had cleared up by lunch. An early lunch and we went for a drive to check out the Mothar Mountain Rock Pools just up the road.
Just to fill in the day I visited the local Iveco dealership in Gympie and took an Iveco Daily dual cab flat tray for a test drive. It was the 205hp version with airbag rear suspension, driver control diff lock and an eight speed automatic and did it get up and go, probably not as well as an F Truck but very impressive.
