Maryborough RV Homebase

After an overnight stop in Nanango, we are off to Maryborough for a couple of days to check out the RV Homebase, a retirement type village with houses set up for the grey nomad. We were set up on a hard stand area set aside for visitors.

You can wash the biggest of vans in here.

The garages are huge, almost as big as the house attached. While we are still a few years off retirement, there is no harm in looking at the options.

We met up with Steve Dodd who I had met online a few years ago with a 5th wheeler the same as mine. We swapped a few ideas and compared notes on how our rigs wre performing.

Plenty of room

Steve has done a suspension upgrade, complete with shock absorbers.

Community swimming pools bowling greens, happy hour areas all housed in a gated community, so when you head off for a month or two on the road, owners know that the security of their home is taken care of.

The weather has been terrific most days since we left Tasmania. We have had some cold nights early on but now the temperature is very pleasant day and night.

I never miss the chance to check out the latest on offer from Iveco. All I have to do is convince Dianne.

Deep in thought, how many toolboxes can I mount on the back of here. I might have to remove a bit of chassis behind the rear axle.

Three days in Hervey Bay to just sit back and relax is our next port of call.
