Rockhampton

We left the caravan park and as we headed to Rockhampton, Dianne just had to call into a large market just on the foreshore at Emu Park. Morning tea consisted of half a dozen donuts and a drink under the trees at the market.

Off to Rockhampton, set the van up and had a look around Rocky. Anyone who comes to Rockhampton should check out the Botanical Gardens. We spent 2 hours there and could well have spent a lot longer. As well as the gardens they have a small zoo which is well worth a leisurely look over. There is still a lot of damage to be cleaned up after Cyclone Marcia but you can’t complain about that as it is all free. We both had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a koala. The 4m crocodile didn’t get a pat though, we left him alone.

pictures later.

Hopefully tommorrow we will check out the local heritage village.
