A busy day with last minute needs attended to. I made a quick trip to the local weighbridge to check my weight, a little heavy on the van, light on the ute, a bit of adjustment and we are legal. There has been a bit of talk that the authorities are weighing grey nomads, so I’m taking no risks.
We left home at 5pm and headed to the Spirit terminal, filled up with fuel to start fuel economy calculations.
Lining up to board is very frustrating and time consuming
I couldn’t believe we were the only van of any description on deck 3. The rest of the deck was filled up with semi trailers and truck and trailer combinations. We were the last passenger vehicle to be loaded on any deck and only a couple of trucks came on after us.
